Description: On January 26, 2019, the Plaintiff was at a restaurant with friends/family when around 3:00 a.m, an undercover PO approached the Plaintiff, asking for cocaine. Te Plaintiff had a very small amount, and gave some to the undercover PO. The officer tried to give the Plaintiff money, to which the Plaintiff refused to accept. 10 minutes later, a group of POs entered the restaurant and arrested the Plaintiff. The undercover PO falsely claimed the Plaintiff sold cocaine to him in exchange for $40. Description: On January 26, 2019 plaintiff was dining with family and friends when he saw his brother being pushed out of the restaurant by several men who turned out to be plain-clothes officers on a "buy and bust" operation. As plaintiff approached, officers including Det. Michael Kobus arrested plaintiff, slammed him into a wall and handcuffed him too tightly. Description: On December 27, 2016, Defendant NYPD Detective Tearle Connell, Sergeant Rolett Cordero, and Detective Michael Kobus forcibly entered Plaintiff Phyllis Kendall's residence and conducted an illegal search and, without a warrant, forcibly handcuffed, detained, arrested, and imprisoned Plaintiff. Plaintiff was told that she would be released from custody if she provided the location of her son, who was the real target for capture. When Plaintiff failed to assist Defendants, she was kept in custody and issued a Desk Appearance Ticket falsely accusing Plaintiff of possessing controlled substances. On March 19, 2018, all charges against Plaintiff were dismissed.
