Description: On April 9, 2018 at approximately 10:30 a.m. POs Visar Selmaj and John Doe stopped Plaintiff and falsely accused him of having a warrant. Plaintiff was then taken to the precinct and Central Booking. Thereafter, corrections personnel took Plaintiff to a jail. On or about April 10, 2018 Plaintiff was taken to criminal court where a judge ordered Plaintiff be immediately released because Plaintiff did not have a warrant. However, rather than immediately release Plaintiff corrections personnel continued to hold Plaintiff for an additional 10 hours before ultimately releasing him in the evening of April 10, 2018.

Complaint
Description: Plaintiff was driving when he began to have difficulty breathing and pulled off the road. Defendant Officers approached and Plaintiff asked them to call for medical aid but instead the defendant officers ordered plaintiff out of his vehicle and subjected him to a series of sobriety tests and unlawfully searched plaintiff's vehicle. Officers tightly handcuffed Plaintiff, arrested him, and brought him to the 60th Precinct where he was given a summons for a fishing knife he had in his car. The summons was ACD'd.
