Description: On or about May 25, 2020, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Plaintiff Caren Baez was lawfully present at or near the vicinity of 600 Concord Avenue in Bronx County, when Defendant NYPD Police Officer Eduard Lucero violently assaulted Plaintiff by lifting her, throwing her to the ground, and punching her before restraining Plaintiff with handcuffs. Plaintiff was unlawfully arrested and detained at the 40th Police Precinct and release the day after.
Plaintiff brings claims of: negligence, biased based profiling, assault and battery, negligent infliction of emotional distress, excessive force, malicious prosecution, and negligent hiring, retention, and supervision.
