Description: On June 8, 2023, in the vicinity of 630 Bergen Avenue in the Bronx, absent an arrest warrant, probable cause, or any legal justification, Defendant officers approached Mr. Rivera. Subsequently, they stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, battered, and detained him in an excessive manner. After being subjected to a strip search, Mr. Rivera was arraigned following his arrest and maliciously prosecuted with committing a crime. Thereafter, he remained incarcerated for over twenty-four hours and was required to make numerous court appearances before the charges against him were terminated favorably.
