Description: On October 24, 2019, passengers of another car threw a can at Plaintiff's car. When Plaintiff exited his vehicle, four passengers emerged from their car with bats and attacked Plaintiff's car, breaking the window. Plaintiff jumped into his car and drove away. Officer Jonathan Kim and three other NYPD officers arrived, and Plaintiff described the events and asked the officers to chase down the attackers. Instead, the officers took Plaintiff into custody, detaining him for approximately 12 hours.

Description: On October 26, 2016, around 4:30 PM, Plaintiff Rashaad Norfleet was walking near 1056 Manor Avenue, Bronx, when Defendant NYPD Officers Stephen Contrata and "John" Kim approached Plaintiff about a crime that was committed earlier that day. Plaintiff stated that was a school teacher at the Eagle Academy in Brooklyn. Then, Defendant Officers Contrata and Kim unlawfully searched Platinff's person and seized his bookbag. Description: On December 31, 2011, Plaintiff was peaceably assembled at Zuccotti Park on December 31, 2011, with other citizens as part of the Occupy Wall Street movement. A large number of NYPD officers were present, and NYPD initiated physical confrontations with citizens, using metal barricades as a weapon/battering ram to push the crowd. Plaintiff was knocked down. Officer Vega and an unknown officer deployed pepper spray at a group of which Plaintiff was a part of. While blinded by pepper spray, Plaintiff was pushed and fell, breaking his hand in a way that required surgery. As a result, Plaintiff was unable to perform basic life tasks during his recovery and Plaintiff later lost his job.
