Description: On April 21, 2022, Plaintiff was lawfully in the vicinity of 1963 Southern Blvd, Bronx, NY, walking home from a doctor’s appointment when he was stopped. Several Defendant Officers stopped and detained Plaintiff without probable cause. Defendants unlawfully handcuffed Plaintiff in the absence of probable cause and refused to tell Plaintiff why he was being arrested. Defendants searched plaintiff without consent, and nothing illegal was found on his person. Plaintiff was unlawfully taken in handcuffs to the 48th precinct. Description: On June 23, 2021, PO Avdo Javorac approached Plaintiff, grabbing and throwing Plaintiff to the ground. While several unnamed members of the NYPD held Plaintiff on the ground, PO Javorac punched Plaintiff in the nose. POs then handcuffed Plaintiff, and intentionally and falsely accused Plaintiff of committing the crime of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree and related charges. Plaintiff was not prosecuted for any crime.
