Description: On April 16, 2016, Security Industry Specialists, Inc. (SIS), acting on behalf of Apple Inc. (Apple), apprehended a person who stole merchandise from a store. A security officer stated that the apprehended person was plaintiff; however, the thief was not plaintiff and, other than being Black, did not resemble him. In April of 2018, Apple caused to be detained an individual it believed to be plaintiff based on a learner’s permit that was likely a copy of plaintiff's. This imposter continued to commit thefts for the next two years. On November 29, 2018, in reliance upon false identification provided by Apple and SIS, Detectives John Reinhold, Pagan, White, Granata, and Pattelli arrested plaintiff. The warrant is...
