Description: On June 16, 2018, at Watson and Ward Avenue, Bronx, plaintiff was in the vicinity of a barber shop when defendant police officers arrived and arrested him for burglary, trespassing, and petit larceny. At the time of the arrest, plaintiff was not engaged in any criminal activity and no stolen property was recovered on or near his person. Plaintiff merely went to the barbershop to retrieve his jacket. Although the owner of the shop was absent, plaintiff had the owner's consent to enter the shop, yet he was accused, without probable cause, of stealing large items in the shop. On October 15, 2018, all charges made against plaintiff were dismissed.
