Description: Plaintiff pulled out his telephone and held it in the direction of Defendant Lathrop. Officer Lathrop then approached Plaintiff, took a juice bottle out of his pocket, claimed it was alcohol, and then tackled and arrested Plaintiff. Officer Lathrop also aggressively took Plaintiff's phone from his friend. Plaintiff was falsely charged with crimes which he was found not guilty of at trial.

Description: On July 19, 2014, Plaintiff and her family were leaving a lawful protest in Manhattan. Plaintiff was on the sidewalk when Defendant Officers began harassing her and telling her to move. Plaintiff was simply waiting for her husband and two children to return from the restroom in a nearby restaurant so she moved up against a wall so as to not impede pedestrian traffic. Defendant Officer Lathrop assisted by other Defendants, grabbed Plaintiff, pushed her up against the wall and placed her under arrest. Plaintiff was handcuffed tightly and her arms were twisted, causing injury.
