Description: On August 12, 2017 Plaintiffs were lawfully inside an apartment when unnamed POs and PO Soney Varghese falsely arrested them with excessive force. Plaintiffs' hands were zip-tied unreasonably and excessively tight. POs ignored Plaintiffs' please to loosen the handcuffs over the course of one hour, causing Plaintiffs to sustain injury. Plaintiffs Jacob and Grant sustained further injuries when a PO attempted to remove their zip ties. Plaintiffs were taken to the 81st Precinct, where they were denied their rights, including their Miranda rights, and denied the opportunity to use the restroom prior to being placed in a cell.
