Description: On July 26, 2016, at approximately 4:15 p.m., John Grant, a 72-year-old retiree, was sitting on a bench at East 122nd Street and Third Avenue in Manhattan, socializing with friends, when NYPD Officer Yaris Gonzalez and other unnamed officers (John Does 1-5) approached the group. Officer Gonzalez demanded Mr. Grant’s identification, citing an outstanding warrant for an unpaid summons.
