Complaint
Description: On March 4, 2023, Plaintiff Jason Cajigas was lawfully in his vehicle on the street in Manhattan. He was approached by Defendant Officers Jeffrey Smith, Matthew Kelleher, Ryan Young, and Oswaldo Espinoza who proceeded to remove him from his vehicle and assault him physically, resulting in a fractured jaw and orbital fracture. Plaintiff Cajigas was then placed in handcuffs and taken to a precinct for processing. After that, Plaintiff was taken to Central Booking for processing and then, finally, the hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

Complaint
Description: On August 11, 2018, the plaintiffs were unlawfully stopped, seized, searched and arrested by certain unidentified PO including PO Oswaldo Espinoza without any reasonable suspicion of unlawful behaviour. The defendants falsely accused the plaintiff of crimes and illegally searched the plaintiff. The plaintiff's hands were then contorted behind his back and then handcuffed in an excessively tight fashion. The plaintiff was then taken to the 45th Precinct where the plaintiff was fingerprinted, photographed and detained, before being taken to the Bronx Central Booking. The charges against the plaintiffs were ultimately dismissed on August 11, 2018.
