Description: On July 19, 2021, plaintiff was at her home in Staten Island. Defendant NYPD Officers knocked on her door, and when she answered, they arrested her and handcuffed her on allegations of violating an order of protection. Officers were sent there by their supervisor, defendant NYPD Detective Justin Solomon, who was responding to a complaint from plaintiff's ex-girlfriend. Defendant Solomon had failed to investigate this complaint, and if he had he would have learned that there was no such order of protection. Plaintiff was taken to a nearby precinct, where she was searched and detained in handcuffs. Description: On June 1, 2011, while Plaintiff was standing on the street, he was falsely arrested. He was then taken to the precinct, where he was searched, assaulted, and battered by the several Defendant NYPD officers, including POs Sivori, Katinas, and Thompson. Plaintiff was then wrongfully and maliciously accused of criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest. Plaintiff had not committed any illegal acts and all charges against Plaintiff were dismissed.
