Description: On July 8, 2018, Plaintiff AKMIR K GRAY, a lawful employee working at a lounge was illegally stopped, searched, detained and subjected to excessive force by defendants NEW YORK CITY POLICE OFFICER NELSON MENA, and NEW YORK CITY POLICE OFFICERS JOHN AND JANE DOE #1-10. Plaintiff was arrested by defendants without cause or justification. Plaintiff remained incarcerated for over 7 days and was required to make numerous court appearances over an extended period of time until all charges were dropped in Plaintiff's favor. Plaintiff sustained physical and emotional pain and injuries as a result of this incident.
