Description: On February 10, 2014, around 11:30 p.m., plaintiffs Santiago and Hernandez, who are cousins, were on their way to visit their grandmother at her apartment in the Bronx. While plaintiffs were in the building lobby, they were wrongfully detained and assaulted by NYPD officers, including Officer Juan Pinero. The officers pointed guns at them, threw them against a wall, and handcuffed them without finding any contraband or having probable cause.
