Description: On January 4, 2020, Plaintiff was grocery shopping with his friend. After buying the groceries Plaintiff dropped his friend and the groceries off at her house and planned to park and watch football. After dropping his friend off, Plaintiff was stopped by officers. Officers told Plaintiff that the car "smells like weed" which Plaintiff responded was impossible because he does not smoke. Plaintiff consented to a search of the vehicle during which nothing was found. Officers then falsely told Plaintiff that there was a warrant for his arrest and placed him in handcuffs. Plaintiff was transported to the precinct and asked for information about the alleged warrant which was denied. Plaintiff's court appointed lawyer...
