Description: On March 1, 2013, Plaintiff S.S. was stopped without reasonable suspicion by NYPD Officers in the hallway of an apartment building he was visiting. The Officers viciously assaulted Plaintiff with fists and batons, causing Plaintiff to suffer an asthma attack. Plaintiff was then handcuffed and unlawfully arrested. At the precinct, the Officers falsely informed employees of the District Attorney's Office that they had observed Plaintiff trespass and resist arrest and falsified police paperwork to that affect. The Officers refused to obtain medical treatment for Plaintiff. After approximately 18 hours in custody, Plaintiff was released.
