Description: On the morning of February 8, 2021 Plaintiff Brina Jones was outside 306 W 54th Street when she was unlawfully stopped, detained, assaulted, and falsely arrested by Defendant Officers Gustavo Paul and Adela Redzematovic, as well as other Unidentified Officers. Years prior, on or around September 21, 2019, Plaintiff Jones had a severe reaction to her medication and suffered a psychiatric episode. Jones's mother called an ambulance and Defendant Officers Paul and Redzematovic investigated the incident as if Plaintiff had committed a crime against her mother (for whom she had been acting as a caretaker), ignoring exculpatory information about Plaintiff's known medical condition.
