Complaint
Description: On October 12, 2012, Plaintiff was lawfully present inside his building of residence. NYPD Officers Alyse Rich and Gary Cha, accompanied by PO Travis Tennant and Michael Sommer, unlawfully stopped and arrested Plaintiff. While in the process of arresting Plaintiff, one of the police officers grabbed Plaintiff, kneed him in the head, and punched him multiple times before slamming him to the ground and kicking him. Plaintiff was then handcuffed, and PO Cha told him that it's good for you black guys that they beat you up. Plaintiff was transported to the precinct, then to the hospital, where his injuries were treated. Plaintiff was released without any charges ever being filed.
