Description: On October 9, 2023, Plaintiff, an African American male with mental and intellectual disabilities, was walking home after leaving a party in Lafayette Gardens, Brooklyn, when he was approached by five men wearing religious attire resembling that of Hasidic Jews. These men assaulted and battered him violently. Defendant NYPD Officers, including Police Officer Ortega and Captain Goodchild, were aware of the situation but failed to intervene. The Defendants also tried to dissuade Plaintiff from pressing charges against the 5 men because they are jewish and filing complaint against NYPD.

Description: On April 15, 2023, Plaintiff was lawfully present at or about the roadway in front of the premises located at 973 Fulton Street, New York City. Plaintiff was approached and was assaulted and battered by Captain Michael Goodchild, Officer Waymon Woolford and other unidentified officers, without probable cause. Plaintiff was beaten and forcefully placed in handcuffs. Plaintiff was then taken to the 88th Precinct where he was held for a period of time and treated for his injuries. Description: On April 17, 2015, Plaintiff Anthony Hutchinson was legally present in the vicinity of 902 Williams Avenue in Brooklyn, NY when he was unlawfully stopped and arrested by NYPD Officers PHILLIP ROSSOMANDO, RONALD SANCHEZ, GARY WILLIAMS, JAMES RESER, LT. MICHAEL GOODCHILD, CAPT. ROBERT OHARE, and ten other unidentified officers. Description: On November 4, 2013, NYPD Officer Goodchild and ten other officers approached Plaintiffs while they were lawfully in a vehicle in a commercial parking lot. Plaintiffs were subject to an arrest without probable cause. While being recorded by Plaintiff Bara Hasan, Officer Goodchild became visibly angry and upset and opened the rear passenger door of the vehicle and attempted to grab the cell phone being used to record the incident. Officer Goodchild then grabbed Plaintiff Mohamed Aityzounkad from the car, threatened to punch him in the face, threw him against the vehicle and searched him. Plaintiffs were unlawfully detained for 30 minutes before being released without any charges.
