Description: On February 18, 2014 Jean Compet at the subway station located at Winthrop Street and Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn. As Compet was swiping his MetroCard to enter the subway platform, Compet saw young man gain entry to the platform without paying the fare. As Compet walked toward the platform, he was approached and stopped by an NYPD officer who said Compet had entered without paying the subway fare. Compet had said he paid and showed the officer his MetroCard. The officer grabbed Compet by the backpack and threw him to the ground. The officer called for backup.
