Description: On August 12, 2011, plaintiffs Shakur Pinder and Robert Ballard were unlawfully arrested by NYPD officers, including Mario Mazier, Boris Bedoya, Myron White, and Sergeant Michael Conners, in Brooklyn, New York. Plaintiff Pinder, who was just 17 years old with no criminal record, had just finished playing a basketball game and was on his way home, when he was surrounded by the defendant officers and arrested, then taken to the 79th precinct and interrogated about a firearm the officers claimed to have found.
