Description: The plaintiff was riding in the passenger seat of his friend's car when the defendant officers pulled them over and removed the plaintiff from the vehicle, questioned, and searched him. The officers found nothing illegal on the plaintiff, but took him to the 75th Precinct anyway. After spending the night in custody the plaintiff learned that no charges were filed against him, he never saw a judge, and was not issued any summons. He was held for no reason.
