Description: On December 22, 2019, POS arrested Plaintiff without cause on 164 Street and Jamaica Avenue with charging “fraudulent accosting,” “possession of a gambling device,” “promoting gambling in the second degree,” and “Loitering.” When Plaintiff was on the way to meet his brother, he saw people running from the area and ran for his safety. Nevertheless, POS forcibly tackled Plaintiff and tightly handcuffed Plaintiff with his hands placed behind his back, causing him to experience pain and numbness. POs did not find any contraband from unlawful search. POs refused Plaintiff’s requests to provide him with medical care or attention. Complaint
Description: On or about December 28, 2019, police officers Christophe Ash, Justin Gabelman, Elaine Galvin, and John Doe 1-5 falsely arrested Shanee Jennings. Jennings was at her home 184-19 Henderson Avenue at Queens. Jennings was taking a refuge from her abusive uncle when the officers warrantlessly removed Jennings from her home with threats of violence, lifted and slammed her onto an EMS stretcher-including slamming her head against metal siderails of the stretcher, arrested and detained her while assaulting her verbally and physically. She was hit, struck, kicked, and punched, resulting in many injuries on her face. Jennings subsequently lost consciousness and was transported to a hospital. Jennings was then charged wi...
