Description: On September 7th, 2022, at approximately 5pm, at 2949 W 23rd Street, Brookly New York, Officer Ryan H. Maraio, Lieutenant Charles D. Miele and other defendant officers (together the "defendants") committed various acts against plaintiff. Plaintiff was walking when he was approached and unlawfully arrested by the defendants. Defendants provided no information as to the reason for the arrest at that time. Plaintiff had arrived at arounf 3.30pm in his capacity as Jewish Community violence interrupter (a role to help de-escalate interactions between the police and civilians) as a shooting had happened there earlier that day. Description: On January 16, 2021, while lawfully driving near 121st Street and Park Avenue in Manhattan in his newly-purchased 2004 Nissan, the plaintiff was illegally stopped, searched, battered, assaulted, and arrested by defendant officers Onabanjo and Weisenburger without legal justification. The officers falsely claimed there was no license plate on the back of the car, despite the plaintiff having affixed a temporary plate to the back window. Description: On October 21, 2017, plaintiff while lawfully in the vicinity of Broadway and Myrtle Ave, Brooklyn, NY, was stopped, questioned, frisked, searched, falsely arrested, and falsely imprisonment by the defendant officers. Plaintiff was transported to the 79th precinct, where he was forcibly slammed into the holding cell causing him to suffer a laceration above and a hematoma to his right eye. Plaintiff was unlawfully imprisoned at the 79th Precinct and Brooklyn Central Booking for 20 hours until he was arraigned in Criminal Court, charged with crimes he did not commit, and released on his own recognizance. On December 18, 2017, the drug charges against plaintiff were dismissed and sealed.
