Description: On or about March 20, 2024 Plaintiff was working as a cashier in a store when she was wrongfully stopped, battered, assaulted, searched, and arrested without legal justification by PO Clinton Philbert and other POs. POs illegally searched Plaintiff by aggressively shoving their hands into her clothing and personal belongings but no contraband was recovered. Regardless, PO Philbert grabbed Plaintiff's arms and violently affixed too-tight handcuffs to her wrists. Plaintiff was illegally taken to the 78th Precinct then Central Booking, and was ultimately detained for approximately 9 hours. Description: On March 18th, 2018, at approximately 1:30 pm, inside 139 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, Defendants NYPD police officers, detectives, sergeants, lieutenants, Clinton Philbert, Shapiro Lecorps, and John or Jane Doe 1-10 approached Plaintiff Jerry Province in a threatening and aggressive manner. Defendants did not have a lawful reason to approach, stop, seize, or arrest the Plaintiff because they did not observe him commiting any crimes, violating the law, or get any information from any witnesses indicating that the Plaintiff participated in criminal activity.
