Description: Very early into the hours on May 31, 2020, Plaintiff was on his way home from his job at Kings County Hospital, walking to the subway entrance near Nostrand Avenue at its intersection with Church Avenue in Brooklyn, when he came across NYPD Officers, including Defendant NYPD Detective Amjad Kasaji and NYPD John Does, chasing a young person. Plaintiff pulled out his phone and recorded from a distance. Defendant Kasaji and a number of NYPD members retaliated against him for filming, pushed him to the ground and assaulted him. Description: On Dec. 2, 2015 plaintiffs Carlos and Angel Rodriguez were outside a house with their two dogs after following a burglar who had just robbed their home. Plaintiffs had cornered the robber and had called the police for help. When police arrived they first yelled to grab the dog and plaintiffs complied. Right after, officer Underwood without warning fired shots at the plaintiffs and their dogs, discharging at least six rounds. Carlos sustained a gunshot wound to his wrist and Angel was shot in the knee. One dog was shot in the head and died, and the other was shot in her back leg but survived.
