Description: On May 22, 2014, at approximately 11:30 p.m., plaintiff was confronted by Defendant Officer Brent Curry and another unidentified officer near 68th Street in Brooklyn, New York. After placing a piece of candy in his mouth, plaintiff was approached by the officers and questioned about what he had just swallowed. Despite explaining that it was candy, defendant Curry handcuffed him, stating, "Now you're going in." When plaintiff protested the arrest, defendant Curry struck him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground. Both officers then got on top of plaintiff, striking him about the body. Description: On October 31, 2013, plaintiff was pulled over at a checkpoint by defendants. Defendants issued plaintiff a summons and plaintiff stepped out of his vehicle, inquiring as to the reason for the issuance of the summons. Defendants then grabbed plaintiff by the arm and led him towards the other defendant officers. Defendants then punched plaintiff in the face, breaking his nose. Plaintiff was then transported to a hospital. Plaintiff ultimately pled guilty to one count of disorderly conduct.
