Description: On January 19, 2018, NYPD officers Mariarit Acquista and Jean Lormestil falsely accused Plaintiff of entering the Brighton Beach subway station without paying his fair. The officers told Plaintiff to turn around, then pushed him from behind so that he fell through the subway tracks on the elevated platform to the street. They then came down to the street and handcuffed Plaintiff while he was on the street writhing in pain and unable to move. Plaintiff suffered severe injuries, including leg fractures, foot fractures, and emotional distress injuries that required multiple surgeries and his use of a walker.
