Description: On February 8, 2019, plaintiff was inside his mother's apartment, where he was not living, when the defendants broke up the front door of the apartment, searched the entire apartment, handcuffed and arrested him. The defendants damaged property during the search and created a mess in the apartment. Defendants did not recover any illegal drugs, weapons or contraband. Defendants falsely alleged that they recovered illegal drugs and ammunition from inside of closed containers recovered from a room where plaintiff was not present. Description: The plaintiff was attending a Black Lives Matter protest as a member of the press with a badge proving it. He was interviewing individuals when a man nearby was tackled by police and was being arrested. The plaintiff was filming the arrest when the defendant officers told him to back up, to which he complied, and then yelled at him through a bullhorn directly in front of his face. Then the officers arrested the plaintiff for Disorderly Conduct despite the fact he complied with all orders, presented his press pass, and was recording an incident allowed by law.
