Complaint
Description: On the evening of October 21, 2022, Plaintiff Latoya Sennon was stopped by NYPD officers while driving in the driveway of her home in Canarsie, Brooklyn. She called her husband, Calvin Sennon, who arrived and began recording the interaction. Officers turned their attention to Calvin Sennon, threatened him with a summons, and ultimately sought to arrest him without legal cause. The officers physically assaulted him using their fists, bodies, OC spray, and a taser, causing injuries. Calvin Sennon was arrested and charged with multiple crimes, including resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration. He was prosecuted, but all charges were dismissed on August 21, 2023.
