Complaint
Description: On July 29, 2012, Plaintiff was at a convenience store in Brooklyn, NY. While there, Plaintiff was subjected to verbal and physical abuse by multiple members of the NYPD. Plaintiff was punched and hit in his face and body before being forcibly detained and handcuffed. Plaintiff had no warrants and Defendant Officers didn’t have any legal justification for their actions. Plaintiff was held in custody and was forced to spend weeks incarcerated, but any charges brought against Plaintiff were wholly dismissed. Plaintiff continues to suffer physical and emotional pain, permanent physical damage, serious mental anguish, psychological and emotional distress and other physical and psychological issues.
