Description: On August 27, 2016, Police Officer Shamere Boland and other police officers stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, battered, arrested and detained the plaintiff in an aggressive and excessive manner without a warrant, probable cause, reasonable cause or any legal justification. Because of the defendants conduct, the plaintiff suffered great and permanent bodily injury in and about his head, neck, back, body and limbs and was rendered sick, sore, lame and disabled, and suffered conscious pain. The plaintiff was falsely and maliciously prosecuted with committing a crime, but the criminal action against him was terminated favorably.

Description: On June 18, 2014, plaintiff was was standing outside a store across the street from his apartment, talking to a friend. Defendants approached plaintiff and asked whether they could search plaintiff's bag. Plaintiff refused. Defendants then assaulted and arrested plaintiff. Defendants transported plaintiff to the 41st precinct and falsely charged plaintiff with assault and resisting arrest. The charges brought against plaintiff were subsequently dismissed.
