Description: On March 19, 2021, the plaintiff was lawfully present in the vicinity of 58th and Avenue H in Brooklyn, New York. The plaintiff was walking across the street when NYPD defendants illegally targeted the plaintiff as a criminal because of his race. The defendants drew a loaded handgun and pointed it at the plaintiff's head. The plaintiff did not display or threaten use of a weapon and did not give the officers any reason to believe he committed a crime. Description: On July 26, 2011, Plaintiff (then 17) left a McDonalds with friends when he was approached by officers and told to vacate the area. When Plaintiff hesitated to say goodbye to a friend, Defendant Officer Juaquin Bonilla grabbed Plaintiff and illegally threw him to the ground. Defendant Bonilla roughly cuffed the Plaintiff, slammed him against the hood of the car twice, and threw him in the back of the car.
