Complaint
Description: On July 26, 2011, Plaintiff (then 17) left a McDonalds with friends when he was approached by officers and told to vacate the area. When Plaintiff hesitated to say goodbye to a friend, Defendant Officer Juaquin Bonilla grabbed Plaintiff and illegally threw him to the ground. Defendant Bonilla roughly cuffed the Plaintiff, slammed him against the hood of the car twice, and threw him in the back of the car. As Plaintiff was being taken to the 63rd Precinct, he was able to reach his phone and try to call his father, but Defendant Bonilla had the car stopped so that he could confiscate the phone and strike Plaintiff multiple times.
