Description: On June 13, 2015, plaintiff was lawfully in the vicinity of 672 Williams Avenue, Brooklyn, when defendant officers stopped, questioned, and subsequently searched and arrested plaintiff without any probable cause or reasonable suspicion that plaintiff was committing a crime. Plaintiff was not carrying illegal drugs, weapons, or contraband of any kind. Plaintiff was then transported to the 75th precinct and placed in a holding cell. Based on false information provided to the DA's office by defendant officers that plaintiff was carrying a weapon, plaintiff was then charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon. Description: On or about September 30, 2015, Melquan Jackson (Plaintiff) was unlawfully seized by NYPD police officers Denisha Pierre, Marcel Francis, Frank Wolf, Ricardo Otero, Adjie Headad, and David Mercado (Defendants), in a taxi in Kings County. The Defendants used excessive force to grab, handcuff, and physically restrain Plaintiff without legal cause, causing him significant physical pain and mental suffering.
