Description: On or about March 14, 2020, at a FedEx located at 635 Zerega Avenue, Bronx
County, NYPD Officer Michael Rodriguez and other NYPD officers inspected a package that a box that was addressed to Plaintiff at his apartment address. After obtaining a search warrant, the officers opened the package and claimed to observe about fifteen pounds of marijuana. The Office of the Bronx District Attorney informed the officers that they lacked probable cause to arrest Plaintiff, as there was no information connecting Plaintiff to the package other than his name being on the box. Despite being on notice that they lacked probable cause, the officers proceeded to arrest Plaintiff.
