Description: On December 14, 2019, Plaintiff Garfield Williams had finished a long shift at work and while driving home was involved in a car accident. Plaintiff had not had anything to drink nor was there alcohol found in his vehicle, but was questioned regarding a potential DWI charge despite no breathalyzer test or any evidence of intoxication. Plaintiff was taken to the hospital and was handcuffed to his bed in the ambulance while in transit. While at the hospital, he was not tested for intoxication because hospital staff did not believe there was any reasonable suspicion of intoxication. Plaintiff was then held in custody, and was fired from his job as a result of the absences spent in custody.

Description: On or about February 16, 2018, police officers David Cardona, Joseph Ottaviano, John Doe, and John Roe falsely arrested Trevor Prophet near Webster Ave. between E. 180th St. and E. 181th St. of Bronx who was properly at the location. The officers, despite not having a warrant or a justifiable cause and knowing the lack of such a justifiable cause, approached, stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, and arrested Prophet. Prophet was then detained for over a week without Prophet's consent. Description: On April 14, 2018, NYPD Officer Matthew Capobianco threw Plaintiff down a flight of stairs. Then, without justification, Officers Capobianco, Alisa Bajraktarevic, Jonathan Gonzalez, Edin Bacovic, John Zaccaro, and Richard Montanez severely beat plaintiff. Afterwards, Officer Joseph Ottaviano arrested plaintiff and filed a criminal complaint falsely charging him with assault. Both Officers Ottaviano and Capobianco were aware that the charges were false.
