Complaint
Description: On November 14, 2022, plaintiff, seventeen years old, was arrested in his home, at 42-07 217th St, Bayside, Queens, NY. During the arrest, plaintiff’s family provided exculpatory evidence which cast doubt on defendant’s investigation. Pellegrino continued plaintiff’s arrest. Plaintiff was searched and subject to physical abuse. Plaintiff was handcuffed, put in a police vehicle and transported to the 111th Precinct. Defendants imprisoned plaintiff until his arraignment in Queens Criminal Court. Defendants initiated prosecution against plaintiff. Plaintiff was released on probation and returned to court on numerous occasions. On May 16, 2023, the Queens DA moved to dismiss all charges against plaintiff.
