Description: On February 19, 2016, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Davi Watters and Angelika Benton were inside an apartment building at 369 Euclid Avenue in Brooklyn when NYPD officers, including Captain Roberto Melendez and Officer Matthew Demaio, unlawfully entered the premises, searched the apartment, and arrested the plaintiffs without probable cause. Despite no evidence of firearms, drugs, or any contraband being found, the officers falsely accused Watters of possessing a firearm and marijuana, and Benton of possessing pistol ammunition.
