Complaint
Description: On or about July 22, 2023, Rondel Hill was allegedly unlawfully stopped, searched, arrested, and detained by NYPD Officer Joel Torres and other unidentified officers in Brooklyn, New York. Hill was accused of criminal acts without probable cause, during which officers used excessive force, including tightly applying handcuffs and dragging him, causing bruises, swelling, and significant pain. Hill was detained for approximately 26 hours, subjected to strip searches, cavity inspections, and interrogations without legal representation.
