Description: On or about August 6, 2022, as the plaintiff was leaving a store and returning to his vehicle, defendant NYPD officers, including Officer Joseph Paner, pursued him, pulling him over and subsequently assaulting him. The officers beat the plaintiff, kicking him in the head and body, and falsely claimed he was resisting arrest, all without probable cause or reasonable suspicion to believe that the plaintiff had committed or was about to commit a crime or criminal violation. Following the assault, the officers conducted a search of the plaintiff without his consent and without reasonable suspicion, probable cause, or any other justification.
