Description: On February 29, 2013, plaintiff was lawfully within his residence located on 76th Street, in Brooklyn, NY. Plaintiff and his mother had gotten into a verbal dispute and his mother called 911. Plaintiff was sitting on a chair in his room when Scheblein and Caviness, approached him. Officers shocked him with a taser once in the chest and a second time in the stomach. Plaintiff fell to the floor in pain. Officers kicked and punched him. On the floor, officers shocked him on his side with the taser. Plaintiff screamed for help and medical attention. Description: On March 3, 2013, Plaintiff Anita Oreckinto was in her Brooklyn home when police officers, including Jeffrey Lau, Naabil Lafaar, Michael Randazzo, Richard Scheblein, Christopher Sherrett, and Aluthea Caviness, went into her bedroom after she had her wisdom teeth removed, and then choked her, beat her causing her to urinate on herself, tightly handcuffed her, and made false statements to have her brought to the hospital before she was released three days later with no charges. Plaintiff alleges excessive force, false arrest, abuse of process, IIED, NIED, and failure to intervene.
