Description: On October 4, 2019, Plaintiff Edwin Negron Arguelles was stopped by NYPD Officer Jesus Vargas on the street outside Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. Plaintiff Arguelles was searched and then detained and arrested without cause. As a result of this false arrest, Plaintiff suffered physical and mental distress and humiliation. Plaintiff was fingerprinted and photographed and was refused medical attention. The criminal proceeding against the Plaintiff was ultimately dismissed.
