Description: On August 8, 1994 Plaintiff was falsely arrested and charged with the murder of Kei Sunada by New York Police Officers. During their investigation, Officers were aware of other suspects including exculpatory information they withheld in violation of Brady, and relied on testimony that was knowingly inconsistent with the facts of the crime. While detained at the 110th Precinct, Officers Gonzalez and Herbert obtained a false confession from Plaintiff over the course of 8 hours. The only evidence against Plaintiff at trial was his false confession. The false confession was not consistent with the record of the crime nor did it include Plaintiff's memory of what he did before or after the alleged crime. Defendant G...
