Description: On or about April 22, 2013, Leroy Pressley (plaintiff) was wrongfully arrested by members of the NYPD, including Officers Pierre, Roberts, Mara, Lavin, and Gamrat (defendants), for a shooting that occurred. The defendants entered the plaintiff home without a warrant or consent, conducted searches and arrested him without probable cause. The plaintiff was not informed of his Miranda rights. The defendants manipulated a lineup identification procedure to ensure the plaintiff’s identification, despite a lack of credible evidence. The illegal search of the plaintiffs home was not communicated, exculpatory evidence was suppressed, and the DA was never informed about the unlawful searches. This misconduct resulted ...
