Description: On March 8, 2018, Plaintiff was lawfully driving in the vicinity of 124th Street and 3rd Avenue when Defendants unlawfully pulled Plaintiff over. There was no legal cause for the stop. When Plaintiff asked Defendants why they stopped him, one of the officers sarcastically stated that they did not like the air freshener Plaintiff had hanging from his rear-view mirror. Defendants approached Plaintiff’s vehicle and ordered Plaintiff to exit the vehicle. Plaintiff complied with Defendants’ orders, and upon exiting his vehicle the Defendants proceeded to unlawfully search Plaintiff’s person. Description: On June 29, 2014, Plaintiff was in the lobby of his girlfriend and mother's apartment building when NYPD members approached him, tackled him to the ground, tasered him, choked him, and assaulted him with a baton and otherwise. Plaintiff had to be taken to the hospital for treatment and for the taser points to be removed. Plaintiff was denied access to his inhaler and allergy medications. Plaintiff was held in jail for approximately 24 hours. Plaintiff suffered a large scar to his left shoulder, pain, bruises, scars, and back pain, as well as great emotional injuries.
