Description: On October 7, 2018, plaintiff was a passenger in a vehicle near an intersection in Manhattan. Several NYPD officers, including Detective Rhyan Nelson and PO Brandon Gonzalez, unlawfully pulled over the vehicle in which plaintiff was a passenger. Another passenger and the driver were also in the vehicle. The officers falsely accused the driver of running a red light. Although the officers had no probably cause to believe that plaintiff had committed any crime or offense, they forced plaintiff and his two friends out of the car and unlawfully searched them, the vehicle, and its contents.
