Description: On October 27, 2020, Plaintiffs Olivia Wanebo and John Acosta attended a protest against police brutality in Kings County. Plaintiff Acosta was filming the officers stationed at the protest and witnessed an unnamed officer use their bicycle as a weapon against another protestor. Upon using his phone to record the incident, Defendant Captain Ramos shoved Mr. Acosta and stated that he was placing Mr. Acosta under arrest. Upon this statement, Defendants John Doe 1-6, Lieutenant Schmidt, Officer Holguin, and Captain Ramos dragged Mr. Acosta into the street, repeatedly struck him, and restrained him to the extent his breathing was restricted.
