Description: On September 18, 2020, at approximately 4pm-5pm, one of the Plaintiffs, Ms. Wright was present at a protest near Washington Square Park in Manhattan, at or around LaGuardia Place. Ms. Wright was standing with a group of protesters and was attempting to film about 8-10 members of the NYPD, who were piled on top of one man. At this time, as Plaintiff was attempting to film with her phone out, Defendant, NYPD Police Officer Hillery approached Ms. Wright from behind and restrained her in a bearhug, picked her up, and pulled her into the street.
