Description: On July 4, 2023, Plaintiff Delmy Jaquez witnessed his friend being arrested in the Bronx. When Plaintiff Jaquez attempted to intervene and ask officers to allow his friend's car to be moved so it would not be ticketed, Defendant Officer Clarence Brown struck Jaquez in the shoulder with the back of a gun, and multiple officers forcefully took him to the ground. Defendant Officer Sebastian Hernandez punched Plaintiff Jaquez repeatedly in the back while he was restrained. Plaintiff Jaquez was later falsely charged with disorderly conduct via failure to disperse (despite never being asked to disperse), detained for 12 hours, and eventually had the charges dropped.
